Northwest Airlines International Service Modifications
Provided detailed designs and specifications for upgrades to the Federal Inspection Services (FIS) and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) passenger processing areas in preparation for new non-stop international passenger service from Tokyo to Portland by Northwest Airlines. Areas upgraded on the deplaning (lower) level included the FIS Customs area, the baggage recheck area, continuing passenger baggage inspection area and destination passenger bus terminal in the D concourse and a holding room in the C concourse for continuing passenger bus service between the D and C concourse. Areas upgraded on the enplaning (upper) level included the continuing passenger security checkpoint area, operated by TSA, and a holding room and loading ramp on the D concourse for continuing passenger bus service to the C concourse. Electrical services provided included power, lighting, fire alarm, telecommunications, paging, distress alarms, audio monitoring, CCTV surveillance, electronic access control, and both static and dynamic signage displays. Telecommunications services included the design of two new network rooms, one on each level, for extension of the Port's network services to the upgraded facilities. |
